So far this charger works and looks great-use it bedside. Yes you may need to place your phone in a certain way to ensure charger is engaged but not an issue at all for me and waaaay better than having to plug in a cord to the phone. I’m ordering a 2nd one.

No. The device needs to be fitted with the Qi technology for it to work.
For iPhone users: iPhone 7 and up are fitted with Qi technology and are capable of charging wirelessly.
For Samsung users: Samsung Galaxy S7 and up are fitted with Qi technology and thus can be charged with a wireless charger. Samsung Galaxy A-line models are NOT fitted with Qi technology.
Apple iPad users: iPads are not fitted with Qi technology.
Wireless earbuds from any brand: yes, they can be charged with wireless chargers.
Phone not listed? If you would like to know if your phone is compatible with a GOWOOD wireless charger, you can Google your phone’s brand and combine with the search phrase “wireless charging”. You will quickly learn if your phone is able to be charged wirelessly.
Wireless charging works with coils and a magnetic field. Both the charger and the phone are fitted with a coil. When the charger is plugged, it creates a small magnetic field with its coil, while the coil of the phone will pick up the magnetic field. Once synchronized, this induces a voltage that will subsequently charge the phone.

No, they are not. The magnetic field is really small, so it will never reach you. You can demonstrate this by moving your phone slightly away from the charger and you’ll notice it will immediately stop charging.
Further, the charger is fitted with overheating protection and will automatically shut down if for some reason the charger is not functioning correctly.
The best way to plug the wireless charger, is by plugging it directly into an electricity socket with a QC adapter. However, it can be plugged directly into your computer’s USB port as well.
In order to use the Fast Charging option (15W), you must plug it with a Quick Charge adapter. Phones used to be sold with these adapters. Nowadays, that is not always the case. However, if you still have one, you can check if it’s written QC 2.0 or QC 3.0 on it. If so, it will be powerful enough to activate Fast Wireless Charging mode.
Not all iPhones come with a powerful enough adapter to activate Fast Wireless Charging. So while you may be able to plug it into an electricity socket, it’s possible the max output is limited to 10W.
If you do not own an adapter or yours is not powerful enough, we recommend buying one on Amazon.
